The Arizona ash tree at the Kittyhawk entrance is really looking shabby and I don't beleive it's going to get any better. It really gives a bad first impression on our neighborhood. Are there any plans to put it out of its misery before it leafs out in the spring?

I think Joe was the one that cleaned it up year before last and it helped. But yes, you're right its dying. My husband is a forester and he was going to help Joe get it, but Joe's fast and my husband has so little time off. But yes, he said it will not live much longer, it is dying. He was trying to figure out a time he could go cut it down, but our chainsaw is a regular residential thing and not big enough for that trunk. If we can find someone that had a large chainsaw like at least 24" bar. Paying someone is out of the question. It will cost a few hundred to have a company come do it for us. If we can find the size we need (or perhaps rent one at Lowes) my husband will do his best to find time to cut if others will help him. It's an all day job as it has to be done in stages because of the street. He has drill (Army Res) this weekend so that's not possible. But if we can get a team together, he'll do it. He's offered before. Just needs a few strong men.

Do you think we should take a vote as to getting the tree taken down? Just because the tree looks bad now, most tree do without their leaves due to the season.
